Spirit of Life is happy to provide connections for our people to engage spiritually with other people in the community inside and outside of worship. Part of what makes a church great is that it’s more than a building…it’s a people.

131 Youth Crew
Connecting our youth around Grand Rapids
The 131 Youth Crew is a joint effort! Families from our congregations around the GR area gather together for food, games, and fun on Sunday Evenings. Each year our youth take special youth rally trips to places around the country like Estes Park, West Virginia, and Cincinnati.
Youth ages 7th-12th grade are welcome and, of course, friends from school can come along as well. To be a part of the youth crew sign up for our email list and come to an event with a friend. Can’t wait to see you!
Spirit of Life Young Professionals Group
Millennials networking together to God’s glory at Spirit of Life. Join us for monthly events at local breweries, sporting events, and outdoor activities to connect with people ages 21-35.
We study the word, enjoy our fellowship, and support God’s mission together. Contact Ashley Hart for more information for more information and follow us on Facebook Spirit of Life Young Professionals
Sisters In Service Ministry
A group of dedicated ladies serving with their talents to increase communication, assist in education, enjoy fellowship, and reach out with Jesus to our community.
Ladies – Do you seek to serve Jesus? Do you enjoy making Christian friends that share your experiences?
Come to a scheduled Sisters and Service event as seen on our event calendar
Care Crew
Seeking to serve? Wanting to find purpose? Longing to share Christ with others?
This volunteer group is your opportunity. Spirit of Life has a thriving ministry with three local group homes. Our friends who live in these locations always appreciate smiles, conversation, and fun that we can share.
This is a once a month commitment. As much as we share with our friends, they fill us up with love, laughter, and grace too. To volunteer write or call into the congregation secretary.
Altar Guild
Psalm 122 says I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord!”
Spirit of Life believes that God’s House should be a place of peace and beauty. We are excited to go to God’s house. Our Altar guild consists of men and women who beautify our worship space corresponding with different seasons.
If you have a decorative touch, like flowers, or want to learn about the different seasons in the church – this is the life group for you. Volunteers serve around 1 hour – one week at a time.
